beetles? i think thats what the locals call a roach:lau
husband got out of the service in feb of 70, he couldn't wait to get back to his home so we left the same day he got discharged. been up here so long that this is home now, husband says that hurlbert now has a golf course , did you go on eglin when down there? to be honest, you couldn't pay me enough to move back to ft. walton, when i was growing up eglin parkway was a clay road, later they pave it, then made it four lane, now its six with turning lanes i like defuniak springs, really old town but has nice quiet roads except for spring break( kids on their way to panama city) and summer, again the same, on the way to the beaches

Thanks for reminding me...ugh, those gigantic cockroach looking things you had to almost shoot to kill :sick
we have a man come spray every month year round, i grew up with them but that doesn't mean i ever got used to them, with larry spraying every month, think i've seen two dead ones in the house. larrys well worth the money lol

:lau:gig, try having one land on your head as you walk under a tree, altho not afraid of them to say they sometimes starle me is an under statement
When I was at my grandparents' place in St. Petersburg, I opened the kitchen cupboard and one of those dang palette roaches came flying out at me and got tangled in my hair.
