The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

:barnie ANOTHER project for the guys that can't get anything done and can't do it even close to properly???

@Blooie Happy Birthday to Tam!

Yea!! Now you need to change the house number plate ;)
2x8? 2x10? I guess you up in Canada must be bilingual in the measurement sense because I'm pretty sure those aren't in centimeters.
Even though we switched to the metric system in '77, there are still some things that we do in imperial... building measurements, food is often advertised by the pound(because it looks a lot cheaper than by the kilogram). Some things are the imperial size, but referred to in metric. Ie the water it haul in is in 5 gallon bottles, but is referred to as 18.76 litres.

It is a crime....happens all the time here in the states....desecration on native burial sites...and the government doesn't care.
Had DARPA a few months ago at Standing Rock Souix reservation. The S.Dakota pipeline, (DARPA) a private corporation, they wouldn't redirect the pipeline eventhough it was going to cross traditional tribal burial grounds and also contaminate the only water supply for the reservation and surrounding area.
The government sent in Federal troops and local sheriff departments to 'throw' the 'Indians' off their own land, again! Makes me sick!
Amen!

I'm tearing everything down to the studs sadly. There's old knob & tube wiring and cast iron plumbing. Also, because the house was frozen when it moved this week, there are cracks in all of the walls and ceilings :(

I don't know if I shared this before or not, but here's a tour of the current inside.
i want a walk around too when you finish please

That’s a nice gift. How do you pack them so they don’t get squashed?

I think I’ll bake the weekend right before Christmas otherwise I’ll have to do it again.

I pick up holiday tins and boxes from the Dollar Tree to pack her treats in. Put all that in a larger cardboard box and stuff any empty spots with newspaper. It travels well even though the cost can be high. The past couple years we've all gotten together at my brother's house so no mailing was necessary, this year I'll let the PO handle it.

Looks like your house has a nice sized kitchen Michelle. And I saw some nice old hard wood flooring. I'm sure it will be a lot of work to fix it up the way you want, but it will be lovely when you're done (or as done as a house gets).
