i used to sit outside under the oak tree, the mocking birds would land on the fence and start their songs, i loved those birds and when i moved to pa i didn't have any there, closest thing was cat birds, i threaten to catch one at momma's when i went to visit and take him home and let him loose so i could hear their songs again but after many years i now have northern mocking birds that sing for me againOne of my favorites too, but they are in short supply around here anymore, and the ones that are here are no where near as vocal. I think the Cooper's have done a number on them.
I bet you love being in FL for the Mockingbirds and other songbirds. We have a bird I d book and binoculars by the back window with a feeder station In the backyard. Got to see a lot of species that I never knew existed.i used to sit outside and sit under the oak tree, the mocking birds would land on the fence and start their songs, i loved those birds and when i moved to pa i didn't have any there, closest thing was cat birds, i threaten to catch one at momma's when i went to visit and take him home and let him loose so i could hear their songs again but after many years i now have northern mocking birds that sing for me again

I usually make regular biscuits too. Yesterday I baked yead tolls to go with baked hamyep, reads like a lot of work, i just use mommas way, she always mixed them up with her hand, got them the way she wanted( kinda wet and sticky) floured her hands and pinched off a bit and rolled them and put them on the backing sheet , pressed down a little and baked.
but i love the cheddar biscuits too, so does husband, so will try these, thank you
We were at 66° here today but no sunshine.YAY, we're up to 11 whole degrees nowThe chickens are out of the coop and wandering around in the sunshine. I'm glad for them

Just based on my experience, lower housing/living costs equals lower wages.
I looked them up and they do have a gorgeous song. They are beautiful looking birds too.
