we will see, found out that this butcher also cures bacon and ham, didn't know since this is the first pig, he did a beef for us many years ago, hes hard to get hes always so busy but like the way he did the beef.We raised some pigs growing up. That was the best ham!
i miss our old butcher, lost him years ago to cancer but he was excellent , one you could trust, theres one about two miles from us that i will never take anything to him again, i swear he switched our beef, oh well, my friends son now supplies us with beef

we went to the bakery every night and got all the left overs, bread, rolls, doughnuts, cake pies, whatever they had, since they were going to throw it away anyway, piggys liked it, plus pasture, hay, and pig pellets and alfalfa pellets, they ate quite well and in the summer, tomatoes, apples pears any thing we had but they didn't like peppers or carrots for some reason
