I have an ear infection and am on antibiotics. When I don't feel good I try not to post because I get gloomy. But I have been trying to still do a few things outdoors. Working on a run for the hoop coop.

No rain here, we don't get a lot being considered high desert here in Wyoming. But ask me about snow

What part of the world are you located in Tamdog? Just on this thread alone we have people from Tennessee, Texas, Minnesota, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Illinois, California, one from New Zealand...and I know I'm missing at least one other.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. I am just happy I still have a tube in that ear. It's supposed to fall out after a couple of months , been in there 4 years! It lets pus or blood drain out rather than building up and causing pressure. The antibiotics are helping.

DH's brother is an administrator at a hospital and during 'lockdown' here in NZ they saw a significant drop in heart attack and stroke patients. It's just been released that there was also a drop in the suicide rate. I thought that was all really interesting.

I have discovered hang on feeders are great for ducks. They still manage to climb into them and sit in the food but they are less inclined to poop in it. I put them outside for awhile while I cleaned their cage. It was lovely and sunny, but as soon as they caught sight of me (using the outside tap to clean out the tray their water sits over ) they started peeping most pitifully.

Anyway, I'd better go and feed the chickens before it gets dark. It's going to be cold tonight.
