I've got the SS dept for that, got the annual "If you start collecting at this age, you get this much per month" letter today.

The question is: Do I start collecting early so I can get as much as possible before the system goes broke and/or is decimated by politicians or wait to get more per month and hope the former doesn't happen?

Where they could be quarantined for months. Looks like things are a bit more relaxed than 40 years ago when I inherited my sister and BIL's 2 year old Angora cat when they moved to HI for 2 years. Back then imported animals had to be quarantined for months. Now it seems there are some tests that can be given BEFORE taking the pet to HI that reduces the quarantine period substantially.
