I guess my aunt was a pro cuz that little guy came right out! She was a VP at a bank and traveled extensively so I got to try a lot of food that I might not have otherwise because she’d take us out to places we probably wouldn’t have tried without her. My dad used to be a major foodie too, plus he grew up during the depression so lots of variety from very cheap cuts of meat like heart and kidneys to abalone and oysters on the half shell.Guess there are multiple ways of preparing them.
The only time I've seen escargot they were served to someone in a restaurant. It was just a plate of shells served up with a little cup of butter. Watching someone dig them out of their shells left an indelible impression on me.![]()
