I just baked a loaf of sourdough bread. The starter my DIL and I got from that class we took the other day is doing well. This was cold fermented. I made a loaf yesterday that I did not cold ferment. It was delicious. I wanted to see the difference in the 2. I also made cinnamon rolls and chocolate chip cookies from the discarded starter.

Morning IM, sorry I'm late, I fell asleep in the living room reading (it wasn't the book's fault, it was just me). How's your day starting off?

My day started busy, I’m canning chili. This is the first time I’ve started with dry beans so I hope it comes out ok. I usually just make it on the fly with canned chili beans and doctor them the way we like.

You've been doing a lot of canning lately, your pantry must be looking good!

Other than the book, I started another chickenwire suncatcher so will spend some time on that. This time I'm attempting to use a picture frame instead of an embroidery hoop. Been trying to figure out the best way of attaching the wire to the frame and plan on "sandwiching" it with some wood strips on the frame back...wish me luck. This project is going the way all my projects seem to go, a lot more complicated than originally thought. :lol:

It’s another decent day out. There’s not as much sun and it’s windy but still high 40’s today. I’ll take it.
I was out cleaning the cat coop a bit. I have another coon and it is making a mess. We’re putting a trap out tonight. Hopefully I don’t catch a cat.
