MissP, what cute pups you have. I especially love that second "ferocious" shot! And ugh, I HATE bad ears. Since you haven't had any further problems, I'd guess it's not a genetic thing, but a management thing. I decided a long time ago, when I had a dog with chronic, horrible yeast infections in his ears (he ultimately had to have total ablation surgery on both ears--this was a standard), that I would NEVER breed a dog with bad ears. It's just so painful and horrible for them, so much suffering. Bless you for taking care of your baby and fixing her up.
Nine puppies is outrageous for a mini! Why is it that "production" breeders always have these enormous litters, and those of us who knock ourselves out with pedigree research and health/genetic testing have small ones? Our record is four.
