I'd help you, but I'm lousy with button quail colors! I decided I'd just enjoy whatever colors I have & not worry about the names. So, I make up my own names for their colors (but never post them online). I tend to be boring and say stuff like...brown. Silver. Wild. Gray. Tan.

Lol, makes me feel better -- I do that too yet ...especially with younger chicks since they still tend to confuse me. I'm trying to get a lot of pictures together of all my buttons. I take photos of each batch of hatchlings when I get them placed in the brooder as well. I'm hoping to get a big gallery of all the colors eventually from mine and others on here to stick in the back of my copy of A Closer Look at "Button Quail" book.

I just put 60 coturnix eggs into lockdown and then my thermostat went crazy and burned them. I do not like styrafoams. From now on I will just use my home made cabinet.

I wonder why they don't make a good incubator that holds around 100 eggs for under $100.

Robo: I have a huge wooden cabinet incubator that somebody gave me last year. It can hold over 200 Chicken eggs. I've never hatched out over 45 Button eggs in there and no more then 20 Chicken/Guinea eggs in there! I am trying to get a small Hova-Bator.

Just a heads up for the Peeps that wanted Button hatching eggs from me...........I am starting my incubator up after Christmas and once I test my fertibility ( sp? ) I'll be selling hatching eggs.

PM me to reserve hatching eggs - I already have a few orders that I must fill first but I will get to you!
