I have a cabinet that I made a few months ago, and it only cost me $167 to build. It can hold about 160 chicken eggs and about 300 quail eggs. I made it out of an old dresser and a gqf heating element hooked to a hot water heater thermostat. For a fan I used 2 pc fans mounted to the top. The temp differs about 1.5*F from side to side. It is currently out of commision due to a wiring problem with the heating elements.

Ain't using that on them.

You can use a thing called nutri-drench, this keeps them from going crazy after shipping. I do give this to pheasants when showing. It does not take much to scare them so I don't have much of a choice. It is also for hurt birds. It relieves stress and pain. This is used by hatcheries during shipping. I like it, but I don't use it all the time. Sometimes I will use it on quail and chickens but only during shipping. I do use it a lot on pheasants especially expensive ones.

I only show rare breeds of them. I don't show ringnecks very often. I usually show Impeayans or Lady Amehersts. I have shown a few goldens before too. For now I mainly just show my Buff Orpingtons, Occasionally Pheasants, Silkies, and Blue Marans.
