I have to say a big "Thank you!" for all the info on this thread. Our neighbor has had a mystery illness that is just robbing him of life... Sore joints, sleep problems, a sundowner-like symptom of fuzziness. His next stop is the Mayo Clinic if he can get his insurance sorted out.
After reading this thread, I suggested a tick titer... which is just about the only test that hasn't been done on him. Who knew?

Hey all was woke just after 7 am white dog barking neighbors dog out again running it climbs out of their fence runs wild tried for a nap layed there but did not sleep but even that helped

I had an acquaintence in Weight Watchers.... she said the Day her husband died of cancer while they were carting him out one of the older firemen lectured her on how her trees needed to be trimmmed.... W.T.F.

I kicked my bad coping skills to the curb..... Food and Alcahol.... Still figuring out what to replace them with. Livestock and gardening... art and DIY.... Looks like my go to ... as soon as I can stand without a walker and go up and down three steps .... stairs to the house and laundry room.

Oh I'm sure you can find MANY enablers here that can suggest replacements. On BYH too! But seriously .... good for you. Clearly you have taken the reins to your life.

Everybody grieves in their own way and at their own time. It might sneak up on you...or not. One thing for sure, you'll have no regrets for not having spent enough time with her. Cherish the good memories. Your grandmother lived a very long life, and that is to be celebrated.

I am still working on that whole taking the reins thing. Trying to find a job finally ha as well as cleaning my room before the wedding.
