The Old Folks Home

Cynthia, love 30's already - ugh! Much too soon. We are going down to the 50's and don't like that either. Though tomorrow our high is supposed to in 80's. Plus rain and thunderstorms into next week. Bet this is gonna be quite a snow year. Last year barely had any. Just lots of zero and sub zero temps. Not the usual ice skating on streets.

Fainting goats are hysterical but I've read as they mature they don't faint but merely have a shake in their hind legs.

If opossums go into their "dead sequence," when they are alarmed. Hook up a speaker blasting acid rock in their direction. I bet they'd still be dead by the next day.

We got an inch and a half of rain last night. Lots of lightning. More storms tonight, a couple of days in the low 80s then more rain and then....Fall. Highs in the mid 60s, lows in the mid 40s. Tomorrow is clean out the chimney Sunday. Warned DH last week we needed to get that done...spent a few days building up the initiative.

Seeing lows in the lower 40s was the poke with a sharp stick motivation that it was time. So tomorrow is the day.

If possums need stress to play dead....I'll stress 'em....raccoons too! Oh wait a minute you said "PLAY" dead....not drop dead.....never mind.:plbb

That’s very interesting!! I never knew that till I read that. I always thought it was on purpose.
Me too.
