The Old Folks Home

I saw this on the random funny post thread and thought many of us could relate to this!
Absolutely!

THis is my favorite low carb dessert right now. Great with frozen berries, and use almond extract.
That looks tasty :drool

Penny, sorry for your loss. Always hard to make that decision even when you know it is the right one.

You are lucky if low carb helps you. I really can't say I notice much difference. I try to follow a gout diet as closely as possible and it's no red meat and no concentrated sugars or high fructose. If I do low carb I have no energy and drop weight like a stone. It's hard to avoid sugars and high fructose so I try to keep processed foods to a minimum. I make our bread and things like applesauce where I can control the amount of sugar that goes into what I make.

I went on a low carb diet for weight loss, but the increase in fat made my cholesterol shoot up. Well, maybe that was it. I stopped and the cholesterol didn’t drop. And I didn’t lose any weight!

In my younger years, I did lose weight on the Atkins diet, which was quite low carb and fairly high in fat. Oh well. I don’t need the cholesterol and weight data to tell me my body has changed!

Thank you both I am the one that blubbers in the family was hardest talking to the Son up at his brothers helping them move

The pup had a good life with you!
