I read an article that said going on low carb diets is especially bad on those over 50?(might have been 40).I am against these low carb diets. I know far too many people that lost weight good on them, but after they lost the weight, and went to more of a normal diet, they gained it all back. In addition, as was previously mentioned, the higher fat content in the diet is not healthy for everyone. I have always maintained that Weight Watchers is one of the best overall diets available. They teach you how to eat eat, for a lifetime. Between that, and using many of the recipes in the American Diabetes Assoc. cookbook, controlling weight is not as difficult as most people make it. It's the way we eat that makes it more difficult. Dd, and I recently discussed this. I'm getting ready to change some things around in my diet.
I must have known that instinctively ron. Since last spring, I've gone down 3 sizes in jeans. Odd because I weigh basically the same and sleeping isn't known to produce that effect. Think it's a conspiracy where "they" have the same jeans but, call them skinny, or straight leg. Years ago some places just called the sizes something lower and women
flocked to buy them. They called it "vanity sizing," women could brag about the smaller size they are wearing.
All I know is the skinny jeans really look better when I constantly check in store windows.
I still give ice cream the credit even though it's more likely osteopenia causing less bone substance than anything else. Plus all the spandex gives great support.

I try to be more careful too!I try ron. I don't go scrambling up chairs or step ladders to change light bulbs. If they want to 'expire' early, that's their business. Besides, impromptu vertigo has taught me to stay "grounded."
