A quick note to tell you all I am still alive. Packing the house up with just my stuff. Getting started for the move sometime After January. Some of my sons stuff will go with me as well to put it in storage.

He wants to sell the house so that is in the plans too. Grandma gave him her house. The paper work isnt done yet.

I have some work that needs to be done as well at my house. I need to get the drive graded. I dont think a moving van would make it past the first turn... big ruts.

Gorgeous fall color, around here we have barely any. In the rich area to the west - they had trees planted expressly that have showy fall colors. Yah but, you have to rake them no matter what color they are - blah!

When Tree Zilla got cut down a year or so ago, stopped our yard leaf problem. Neighbor has a "dirty" maple tree that covers my roof and gutters. If I hadn't spent the money to get Zilla cut down (was dying) I could have gotten the gutter guards. IF it isn't one thing, it's another.

Lights burning out around the house, because of Vertigo, I can't climb on chair or anything else to replace them. Have to wait for son to come for the holidays. I've got plenty of battery candles BUT, out of batteries. Wireless mouse and keyboard took the last of them. Hope Menards has a big sale QUICK!!

Sure could use old boyfriend who was 6'7". He could do first floor gutters without a ladder and change light bulbs if he remembered to duck low ceilings. THAT and one other thing were the best he had to offer. That was 19+ years ago. Memories fade but, the feelings still linger.:yesss:

Diva, you are a hoot! Thanks for making me smile. And DO NOT climb! Get some table lamps or floor lamps and scatter them around. Sure don't want to hear that you have fallen and hurt yourself.

@perchie.girl's here! YAY! Hi Perchie! Sorry to hear you are moving. I'm saying sorry cause I know what a you know what of a job that is. Talked to a friend in IL today who lost her husband last year. She is knocking around a big three story house by herself now and occasionally thinks of moving. She's lived there for over 35 years tho and the mere thought is just overwhelming for her. I told her to rent a semi. She said semi heck she was going to rent a couple of dumpsters and go to work.

So besides being stressed from moving, how ya feelin?

Thanks a bunch for suggestions microchick. Honestly ,I forgot there are some table lamps - duh - senior brain- itis. I pulled the plugs on everything electric, years ago because the electric bills were so high.:smack

It is healthier! Cut back slowly on the honey if you need to cut the sugar. I slowly stopped putting sugar on grapefruit years ago, and now I don’t like it with sugar! I eat almost all fruit with no sugar. Or honey. It actually tastes better to me. Sugar masks some of the flavor.

Good for you! Tuna is quite healthy! You will feel better and you will be proud enough of yourself to exercise!
I always eat grapefruit without sugar, like my dad always did peel and hard to explain if you don't do it cut carefully down first time with a short sharp fillet knife close to the skin and flop the sucker out into my mouth then the rest same way easier no mess no spoon. For the kids I peel and sharp fillet knife the skin all around and segment out little messier but I still think better than halving them and scooping out with spoon. And yup DW and kids douse theirs with sugar. We get a big bag every year from the FFA fruit sale here, love grapefruit.
