The Old Folks Home

Let me expand a bit on how pathetic this guy was driving. From the main road, there is a driveway, wide enough for two pick up trucks to pass easily. It's about as wide as a two lane road. That driveway goes down a little over 2 miles, to a couple homes way down on the end. Truckloads of gravel have been added over time to build the driveway up, so it's high, dry, and fairly smooth. There is a second driveway that parallels the first one, with an 8 foot wide separation between the two driveways. The second driveway goes down about a mile, to two homes as well. The second driveway, similar to the other driveway, is wide enough for two pick up trucks to easily pass, and about as wide as a two lane road. Like the first driveway, truckloads of gravel have been added over time to build up the driveway. The center division is a bit lower, because it has not been built up, but it's not a ditch, or anything. There are several very large oak trees lined up at great distances along that center division. There are a few electrical poles in that center division, at great intervals too. Both driveways are completely straight. No turns, or curves. It's not uncommon for delivery people to turn into the wrong drive. There is plenty of space in between the trees, and poles to simply maneuver onto the other driveway, or even turn around.

This idiot was going down a straight driveway, as wide as a two lane road, a smooth road with no potholes, in broad daylight, and managed to veer so far over that hit a tree head on. That's not a speed issue, that's a driver issue.

The only excuse the drunk had for sideswiping the phone pole the other night, was that he was drunk. Again, a driver issue.

Had some fun with the paints this morning. Have to admit the rooster painting was part of the draw of getting into painting. It was part of the October painting box.

Maybe he was reading a text while driving.

Super nice! I LOVE the rooster. Still haven't cracked open my water colors but I have been working on Christmas Ornaments that a friend sent me to make last year. Guess what? They are chickens.

Let's see!

I'll snap a picture of them when I get them finished. they are kind of folk artish laser wood cutouts. I have no idea where he found them although he told dh that there is a shop near where they live in Penn. that sells a lot of 'chicken' decorating stuff.

Right now I'm on hold finishing them until I pick up a bottle of black craft pain to do the eyes.
