I can do just about everything with the pig, myself. I need a little help from him (Dh), getting fence posts in for the pen, and after I shoot it, I'm not strong enough to hoist it to gut it, on my own. I can do everything else. I just thought about it, and I could actually tie the other end to my SUV, and hoist it that way. Hmmmmm.....

Lately every time I go into Kohls (it's in same outdoor mall as Target & Walmart & Sam's Club) they have BOGO HO's as my brother calls it. He has a Name for everything and not not nice ones. Thats when they say buy 1 get 1 at half price. Not good enough for me.

I'll be getting the Sunday newspaper with all the sales in it tomorrow. If I see Kohls has
Gloria Vanderbilt on sale I will start a CONVO with you, Geta.

It’s so cold today.

I liked the nice, warm 60, 70 degree fall we were having haha

But I guess we had to get a real fall sometime

Been really cold this week.

Wouldn’t be so bad today if I had brought a sweatshirt but I didn’t think it was going to be as cold as it was

For the past few days, in the wee hours of the morning, a pig has been showing up. It's just starting to get it's tusks. On one side, it has markings like it might have been a domestic pig that escaped from a farmer. I saw the other side of it this morning. What it looks like to me, is that a domestic pig escaped, bred with a wild one, and this is one of the mixed offspring.

I mentioned making a pen, luring it in, worming it, giving it good grain, and water, then butchering it for our freezer. Dh was shocked and appalled at the idea.

Yep, hoist with your car.

My baby sis is growing up a wild one right now.

It got caught in a raccoon trap (so yeah, it was super tiny) and they have kept it.

She said it tamed right down, and is easy to keep.

If it is male, it would be nice to castrate it. That might be hard to do by yourself.

Oh.... as to the good old days...maybe stop time right after we got electric ranges and washing machines etc.

I always think what a PAIN it would be to cook every single meal on a wood stove.

Micro the bus dispatcher won't let me go to the PO because "no one else wants to go." But my brother said there is a post office on the campus grounds where he works. I bagged it up and addressed and ready to go.
