I made penne a la vodka (with shrimp) in the Instant Pit last night to take to MIL for dinner with her. I had never had it before.

Pretty brave taking something you've never made before! Glad it was so good.

Used to love to sled. My brother and I would play 'chicken' with a barbed wire fence at the bottom of the hill near our home to see who would be the last to bail out.

Fast forward and the last time DH and I went sledding we did the same thing. Crazy but still Fun.

We used to have some pretty heavy snows where we lived when we were growing up. One I remember there was something like 28 inches of snow. There was a hill on either side of the road that went back to our house and the other houses in this little 'cluster' of homes. The wind funneled the snow between those hills and the result was a 10+ foot drift that completely filled that gap. My brother and a couple of his buddies tunneled through the drift in order to get to the road with sleds and bring up groceries for one of the family's.

We have a winter weather advisory tonight and tomorrow. Oh. Joy.

@perchie.girl, I am so glad to hear that you are doing well. Keep it up girl! you are an inspiration. As for Mozzarella cheese, love the stuff. I also love Farmer's cheese and Muenster. Which was my dad's favorite also. I found a package in the store recently and snatched it up. Since I only eat meat once a day bliss is having a slice of Muenster cheese with a little mustard and a slice of 12 grain bread.

We have dry weather back had to warm up to rain so like 54 out ground is still wet
temp will drop low 40's at night

Oh carp, I was going to make a gif of a vid I had but its on my old phone let the kids play with it and now its ... who knows where they hid it from each other ... Pretty funny built a jump for them first two girls went down on plastic sleds landed good, boy went down on that snowpedo, well they bounce he bounced and ate snow
They don't work good for jumps unless you can hold on good Lol!

One winter (many years back when they were all little) one of our kids tried to jump the driveway on a sled...

He didn't make it, he face planted into the berm alongside the driveway...

It was a perfect cartoon like impression of his body...
