The Old Folks Home

My DIL thinks my grandkids should go to Disney for their first haircuts and every birthday! They have a limited income and 4 kids. It's ridiculous. I think once a year is plenty.
Living in OC, we went to Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm every year, and when I had my own son, brought him there every year. But, in those days it was an affordable excursion. These days you practically have to take out a second mortgage to go there! Believe it or not, when they first got rid of the A-E Tickets, and just went with passes, they were only $18 each.

Yeah, they have spent loads of money on it, making monthly payments even!

We have lifetime passes we got years and years ago but we only have a few left. We only got so many passes... it wasn’t like a free for life thing haha just that the tickets are good for life. We used some of them but still have some. But we have only been to the parks a few times

It used to be that in September, when school started, and all the tourists went home, Disney offered $35.00 passes for the day, to all residents that had either a Florida Drivers License, or a Florida Student ID. With that, and $25.00 for food, and drinks all day, it was affordable to go. In addition, with all the tourists gone, and the kids in school, if you went on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, there were no lines at the attractions. Now, that's nonexistent.

That stinks they don’t do that now. :( is it a lot more expensive now or they just don’t offer it at all??

Definitely don't go when school is out and/or people are doing summer vacations!

Yeah when we were going to FL for Christmas there was a family ahead of us that I guess were going to the parks cause I overheard them say the security lines were practice for the lines at the parks :lau the lines were pretty long that day but personally I think would have been nothing compared to the lines at the parks Christmas week!!! Haha
