The Old Folks Home

We asked at wally and at rite aide they said nope funny but I went through most of life
I was never vaccinated for Diphtheria, Polio, Typhus until I was being sent to other countries to retrieve suitable or new blood bring unrelated dogs to America.. My first vaccine for Tetanus I was like 12, then 24 , 36 I think was the last
You might have to go to Providence or Peace Health.
Traveling overseas, which I did, or being in the military and traveling overseas, they give every vaccine available, and I think they toss in a few extras just for good measure. My dad's philosophy was "Give me the shot. I'm not dying of anything a stupid shot will prevent, or cure."
Good philosophy!!!

Perhaps 15 or so years ago we took our then house dog to the boarding kennel as we were going away for our anniversary. I was driving a 2WD light pickup truck. Got stuck in the kennel driveway and had to walk the dog in. On the way home there's a 2.5 mile hill at about an average 45 degree angle. I went up that thing fish tailing from side to side with the Princess chanting, "You're doing fine, you're doing fine." This was a true test of my sobriety as I so wanted a beer when we got home. No more driving in snow storms even though I now drive a 4 WD.

Yep, good idea... but if I followed that logic... I would have to.not drive for a full 3 months, maybe 9, depending on the year

Or what if someone else damages your car, especially if they total it. You will be out money because you'll have a tough time finding an equivalent vehicle for the price you get paid.
Very true! Here though, traffic is so low that if I wreck my car, it is most likely that I just slid off the road. I now drive 10 miles an hour downhill... so much ice, snow. Etc.

I saw this gif today.... and this is about the shape that I feel my car is in (it isn't quite that bad...but it does have a bunch of duct tape holding parts together)

Al, do you have studs, or snow tires that help with traction in all that snow?
I used to have studded tires, but they don't last all that many seasons, and are expensive.

Was it 1 or 2 years back? :idunno When I had to buy new ones I went with less expensive "winter tires" :sick

I don't like them anywhere as much. I just feel that the traction going up and down the 1,000 foot steep hill on which I live.... switch backs, usually snow and or ice.... stupid idea.

So I go 10 miles an hour in the winter when going downhill. I think I hit 30 when going up hill.

In the summertime I hit 60...no joke.

And this car I have... everything on it is starting to wear out...

I have to fill up tires about once a week...

It is starting to make odd sounds. -sigh-
