The Old Folks Home

BTW, if I get sick, I think I will go to one of my doctors, that are more familiar with my situation, and not afraid to be a bit more proactive, including being able to give hydroxychloroquine, and a Z-pack.

I assume you are aware that the WHO has dropped hydroxychloroquine from the multinational study they have been doing on possible treatments; they say the data they are getting just doesn't support its use.

Oh @getaclue I am so sorry that you and your DH are having to go through this hoop jumping again. Hugs to you all, except your poor husband...wave at him for me and tell him to feel better!

I had to go to town this morning and get blood work done for my upcoming prolia treatment and got to spend some time talking to the nurses at the clinic about the virus. Most in our area are coming from a Smithfield plant that hires well, itinerant workers who culturally do not do a lot of hand washing.....duh....

I was also telling them about the ordeal your family is going through with the antibody tests. When I said about the diminishing antibodies in the blood samples the nurse's brow furrowed and she said....well, how are they ever going to develop a vaccine for it if it is doing that? I just shrugged and said it was a good question as the way it looked everyone would be having to have a booster every 4 months to get anywhere with resistance.

It was nice to get out. I wore an N95 mask from home and didn't touch anything in the office. Came home, sprayed myself and my purse down with lysol and got on with my busy as usual day.

It is like we are living in a dystopian story!

My dr office called they said my heart is pumping at about 65%. They said that's in the normal range. I told her that my heart racing and palpitating only happens when I try to lay down to go to sleep. She called the Dr. then called me back they are going to put me on an event recorder for 30 days to see what is going on. I asked if they could have a company bring one out to me. Since I don't drive. She said she would put one in the mail to me tomorrow.

Clue I my heart goes out to your Dh is having to go through this and for your family as well.

Micro I hope I never have to take that shot! I'm so sorry you and Clue have to take it. I hope to keep taking my fosamax and vitamin D.

I hope they can figure out what is going on!

Thank you sweetie, :hugs I wish I could take Fosamax. After the 2nd dose I knew my stomach wasn't going to tolerate it. I can sympathize with you as far as your cardiac concerns. About 2 years after being diagnosed with rheumatic fever, I started noticing that when I went to bed at night and relaxed, I was getting an irregular heart rate. Speed up, slow down, get irregular. Made me afraid to go to sleep. I had run of paroxysmal Atrial tachycardia while in the hospital. I went to the doctor and my pulse was regular. About a month later, I woke up with the same thing. Went to the doc and they did a cardiogram. Sure enough, it showed the arrhythmia. They started me on beta blockers that day. 1978. I've been on them ever since. Pretty well controlled except when I get too much flack from my stomach....like taking fosamax then it reminds me who is really in charge.

They will get this figured out for you. Hang in there. The good news is that your heart isn't in bad shape for the shape it is in and bad valves can cause all sorts of weird symptoms.

The Holter Monitor that they are putting you on will tell them a lot....just remember that if they are doing real time telemetry if you lose a lead they WILL call you in the middle of the night and ask you if you are still alive.;)
