The Old Folks Home

Our county provided free tests at multiple locations. The problem was that asymptomatic people were testing multiple times (one woman on NextDoor bragged that she had taken the test four times) and thus using valuable resources and skewing testing v. case numbers. So now our Gov has mandated that only symptomatic people get tested at those sites.

Our blood donation center offers free testing for antibodies with each donation. DH and I signed up (well, he signed up and then offered me as a bonus) for the end of the month. However, DH came down with a bladder infection and some prostate issues, so all the meds he's taking cancels him out. So I'll decide whether I go or not in a bit. I used to donate all the time (Gold Card member/multiple gallons), but I'm heeding pretty much the Covid quarantining as I could be considered high risk if infected. The last time I was severely respiratorily sick was two Januarys ago. So unless I had the earliest case of Covid recorded, I'm still antibody free and would like to keep it that way.
