This is the first time, since we put the driveway in, that it's rained this hard, and accumulated this much water. Dh is very pleased with the new driveway. It's high, and dry.

Yeah, one of the drugs is doxycycline which is also a first line of defense drug used to combat Lyme. I was on it for over a year. And the other is zinc which is a popular supplement in combating viral infections.

Do Not Self Medicate

Dang right. How many people have poisoned themselves with some of these other "cures," like the fish tank cleaner with somethingorother chloroquine in it? Odds are, anyone who was even thinking about self-medicating would be using a formulation intended for animal use, which could have unforeseen side effects.

The lake the rain made, has drained off. The electric fence is back on. I need to move it a little on one side. Of course, Dh has another solution to fix it for me, which he thinks is much better. He can go buy a bigger tractor, and attachments, have a load of dirt brought in, and elevate that side. He's sure the new tractor idea is much better, than simply pulling up the rods, and moving them a little. Of course, he's just doing all this to help me out with the fence problem.

B&J, Island Ice Cream and I've now found Stafford Creamery. The latter 2 are Vermont "small producers". Stafford makes a MOST excellent Coffee ice cream. Not only is their base ice cream really good their choice of coffee is Smooooooth, like a really good cup of coffee, not like diner coffee poured into the ice cream.


That's a BIG boy! DD1 was only 5lbs 9oz, DD2 5lbs 15oz.

The problem with 'big' babies is that there is always the possibility of gestational diabetes in the mother. Something doctors are always aware of. Sometimes babies are just big due to dad or mom being tall or large framed and larger than the norm when they are born. Usual weight for a girl baby is in the 6-7 pound range and boys 7-8 pounds.

When I worked OB Neonatal and Delivery Scrub we saw babies in the 11 to 12 + pound range on occasion. 9 is big but not all that much larger than the 7-8 normal range for a baby boy.

I think Matthew is just a healthy beautiful big baby boy. Poor mom really had a work out shoving him out into the world! My best and blessings to the family and grandparents.

Thank you. He was cesarea. Mom is a large woman and dad is a big guy. My son was 7lbs 3 oz when he was delivered a month early. Most of my babies were over 8 lbs when they were born including the twins.
