I just wish their mother would parent them while they are here. I dislike being the "bad guy" ....not my circus. I really am excited to see them.Rejoice! You at least get to see your grandchildren, hug them, show them things, and love them.

Take mom aside and let her know how you feel.. don't let it build up inside to where you dread visits. Maybe a vacation for her, but she still needs to supervise her children.I just wish their mother would parent them while they are here. I dislike being the "bad guy" ....not my circus. Welcome!I'm 58. So I know I'm way to young to post here with the rest of you "spent" chicken keepers.... I need to vent. So baby sit me while I have a temper tantrum please.
9 mini farms on a private road... One young couple has Guineas. From time to time his flock comes down to my place. They don't hurt anything and I don't mind them visiting... 2nd neighbor next door has lost 2 separate flocks of chickens to his dachshund dog. The darn dog came in my fenced yard and killed a Guinea hen. I can't stand senseless killing.... I've given my neighbor fence and all but begged him to keep his dogs on his property.... My 7 hens are just about ready to start free ranging my fenced 3 acre lawn.. If that darn dog comes over here and kills one of my old girls I'll put a stick up his butt and turn him into a wiener and spit roast him and toss his cooked butt over the fence.... How do I win this and keep friendly with my neighbor? He just doesn't understand the concept of keeping your animals on your own property... Now I'm hesitant to clip wings or even let my hens free range. I'm from Kentucky, at home farmers gave a neighbors animal one chance. If the animal killed livestock a second time the animal was disposed of.. FYI. My fence is well maintained, his dogs are digging under the fence from his side to get in my yard... Any suggestions would be helpful.
Sigh. She is the boss, my son just does what she tells him to. She is unlikely to listen to me.Take mom aside and let her know how you feel.. don't let it build up inside to where you dread visits. Maybe a vacation for her, but she still needs to supervise her children.
