The Old Folks Home

For me McDs has better fries, BK better burgers. Don't do either often though and never "on purpose", just when I'm caught out well past lunch time. Gotta eat something or get a migraine.

My grades weren't UC quality, went to Cal Poly Pomona.

Wow!

Good question!!!!

Interesting that your oaks are turning, ours have not. And they never get that red.
I went to Shasta College, Cal State Chico and then University of La Verne out reach for my Masters degree

That way grades to not matter very much

Neither do I. I did when I was younger. Was our 'thing' me and my sister when we were kids riding our bikes few miles to town to get some books from the library. Stop at the store and get a couple sodas. Back then late 80s still glass bottles. Only have enough change for one soda, I don't remember if it was sprite or 7up but they had on their caps offers for a free one. I'd check them all upside down flat glass bottom couldn't read it but knew, the sorry try again was few letters, winners was more so we always both got a soda before ride home Lol.
After boot camp Army '94 I never liked soda again. Burns the throat and teeth never liked it again.
44yrs old now and still no cavities I attribute it to never drinking soda. IDK? But I bet it helped.
There could be a couple of reasons for the dislike
1. sada changed sometimes in the 80s from sugar to high fructose corn syrup due to a sugar shortage.
2. soda in plastic bottles has more carbonation.

I like the real sugar root beers in glass bottles. Henry weinhardt makes a very good one

Mom never allowed soda in the house and I probably have staved off diabetes because of not being in the habit of drinking it. (We had no junk food either, and I didn't get my first sampling of pizza until I was 14.) Still don't drink sodas, but enjoy the fruity sparkling waters found at TJ's (mainly for drink mixers.)

Morning Old Folk!

I remember growing up we only were allowed pop on weekends then we would get a glass to enjoy with pop corn or ice cream as my brother loved root beer floats.

Switched to diet when it came out. Never drank it to access but enjoyed it, maybe two cans a day at the most when I was working. I drank more when we were working here on weekends without AC. Cold pop in the cooler was equal with survival.

Can honestly say I do not miss it for the most part.

My problem now is limiting the amount of cold green tea I drink. Caffeine + sugar= addictive
