Absolutely gorgeous autumn day here. Just finished lunch, catching up on BYC, and I will be heading back outside.

Hoo boy, Big pen is done... Henri and his two gals moved into the back half of the large run today... He and Charlie were having it out at the fence... nobody won, and both decided to stay away from the fence... All the girls had a treat with Henri.. even lil old Millie who never got to eat with Bruiser and Maggie. Ha! Henri is 'da man!'.

Noooooiii. Thank the Lord above!!!

But I did just toss a kid onto the roof to clean out the chimney, and every morning I think, "dang it is cold! I wish I would let myself start a fire"

And kid 3 has been working like crazy trying to get more wood chopped and stored...

It has been odd... a very long drawn out cold fall type weather..... but a few things are still green... not yet full on death season.

Down here we normally have a week of spring, long hot summer, a week of fall, and a mild winter.. This year we actually are getting to enjoy more fall like days.. leaves are starting to fall. Chickens are gonna love it!

LOVELY cool and sunny day here. Great to go out and water and move stuff around.

Then I got sucked into Amazon Prime days. Oy. A bit of damage. Oh, well. Early Christmas to me!

Straightening out all the linens, and hall closet. My back is aching, so I have to rest it a bit.

I wish I could have a hall closet. Only 2 closets in our cabin.
