Penny, Penny, Penny. Scratching your eye outside of the normal is a no-no, at least that is what my husband tells me,
I was working on the bunk beds for the cattle dogs today and told him that our table saw is a gold mine for eye doctors....they are always blowing sawdust in my eyes even with glasses on. He asked me where my safety goggles were and I mumbled something about....... don'tknowcan'tfindthemthinkthinktheyarebrokenpleaseordermesomefromAmazon.......and kept on cutting the board I was working with.
He just shook his head at me and quietly left the building.
I know quite a few ladies in their late 60s who are like me, still building things, gardening, defying or trying to defy aging. For some reason I seem to remember the women in the rehab center where I used to work. Many were younger than I am now. I even took care of a few that I went to high school with. Then there are the ladies I know who are just happy to sit in the living room and watch the soaps every day.
I told my husband if he ever catches me doing that check my pulse because it means I died suddenly, fell on the couch and hit the remote to the TV. Same if I ever caught him watching football on TV. Just not in our genetic make ups.
