No lights on brooders now heating pads over wire like a cave for themBTW, has any one used a grow lamp to keep a brooder warm before? It's putting off about as much heat as a red heat lamp but is more full spectrum.

I never have had a problem with white light for chicks.You have to be careful with lights that are not red. The chicks can peck each other with whint light
whooo hooooooo , it's the white light knight to the defense! I've already switched out to the red heat lamp. Just hate that it says it's infrared... would rather have the complete light spectrum for my tiny tots.I never have had a problem with white light for chicks.
