The Old Folks Home

Sort of. I did cave for a mutt - they call them golden doodles. She is far more poodle than retriever. If she is allowed to survive puppyhood, she will be a great dog.
Oh yes, I think I remember your post now. Love them! Puppyhood aside, they really are good dogs. Smart and willing to please like the Retriever. You will love the no shedding part.

She is extremely smart and readily trainable but very high energy. She has two modes high gear or crash and burn. Early on she had two instances of mild food aggression, but I worked on/am working on that. I told the Princess that if we tranquilize her for the first two years all will be fine. She knows: sit, stay, wait, down, outside, go to your place and NO. 'No' is the one she tends to ignore.

TSC=live chicks? 😁
Grrrrrrrrrr... so I drive into town.. they say 'after lunch' on the phone.. I get there no chicks.. finally talk to the supervisor and she says they got an email yesterday saying the shipment was delayed and doesn't know for how long. TSC needs to get their head out of their collective 'places'.

I know how you feel!:barnie My TSC said they got the breed I'm looking for (Blue Australorp) last year, a few times. He also said they get their chicks from Townline. Townline told me today on the phone they do not have Blue Aussies, so harrrrrummph! :barnie

Just as a point of education... Are there chicks that look similar to Blue Australorp chicks? I saw a couple chicks that looked like they could be blues in the Australorp bin ("they come in black and blue", said the tag). So either they came from somewhere other than Townline (good, there's hope), or they were something that looks similar and if I get them, I'll be very disappointed.
