The Old Folks Home

I got a $15,000 dollar bill once after getting tired of not gettting treated and walked out.
Only one of the reasons the last few times I've needed to be sowed up, I just do it at home.
Edit a pain pill would be nice but I didn't even get an ibuprofen after wrecking my bike at 85 mph an landing on my head, because if that happened I shouldn't be able to walk, so what were you on. NOTHING NOTHING it hurts or I wouldn't be here.

CLSranch, I could rant also, agree, have a story or two (many) myself. I'll keep it short. Growing up (I'm 45 so those yrs, '80s to early '90s) my parents never had healthcare dad was self employed there was a lower price for cash, not sure if it is the same anymore. Fast forward to just before Obamacare NY had a similar program much like some other states called family health plus, my parents got on it still had my youngest brother at home only reason eligible they were not old enough for Medicare. Mom had to have a hysterectomy and they had to travel halfway across the state, this was back when hospitals all over still did about everything. I asked them what the heck why so far away? They said only hospital that accepted the 'insurance' cause it didn't cover hardly anything and the hospital and doctors basically donated their time...

It's still cheaper for me to get glasses than use/have insurance and still pay the Dr. I had a buddy who had a long time rig welding career and had a quadruple bypass and only payed 25% of the bill when he said cash.
Only reason I'm not paying for the 2017 boy still is I was unemployed and the wife was still working. Her insurance covered 55% and the state insurance she qualified for because I was unemployed covered the other 45%. It helped greatly or I'd still have that bill.
I had ins for only a couple of years before "Care" took place and I was cancelled and most everyone I know who had a job had to pay more.

2 of the websites I frequent, had a notice that I needed a more secure password. They wanted at least 12 characters. (Dang). I figured I'd think of one, and update it next time. Nope. I couldn't log in, and because I didn't update the password at that time, I couldn't get it to update.

Soooo, I decided to go to the "forgot password" thing, and update that way. Email address doesn't match. I tried another. Nope. I then proceeded to see if anything was stored in my password thingy. Holy Cow....the account is so old, the email address is a yahoo account I used years ago. I haven't used it in forever. Now what am I going to do?

For the heck of it, I decided to see if I could access the old yahoo account. To my amazement, I was able to access it. When I did, I got a notice saying my last login was 2 years ago. WOW! Anyway, I had the reset sent to that account, and got everything squared away. Whew.
