The Old Folks Home

Give her my best, Ron, tell her to take care of herself, what she can't do today will be there tomorrow. Those danged house elves don't come out overnight to do the work like they are supposed to.

DH is on his way to Kirksville with our Sidney for emergency medical care. She was getting progressively worse and developed diarrhea right before noon. Doc at the vet hospital thinks it's either an obstruction or a severe gastroenteritis. Either one we were in over our heads after two + days of specialized care and our vet admitted that he wasn't set up to handle an obstruction if that is what is wrong with her. Either way she needs hospitalization and fluids so they are going to help her there.

Pretty disappointed in our local vet. If he suspected that on Friday..........

She needs prayers everyone. She is a sick little girl.

Do beleive you have taken the right moves for her sake Micro you know that .. Hands on can do wonders in the right hands
Thanks dear lady, I hope so.

From your lips to God's ears as they say.

In spite of all the stress I had something really funny happen here today. Our 21 year old diabetic kitty likes to go out on our deck and hang out in the sun. This morning I heard him yeowling as only a cat can do and looked out to see him sitting with what looked like a mouth full of grass. Oh great, another sick animal wanting to puke, I thought and opened the door so he could come in and add to the aroma in the house. So he bounces in and drops something that runs...oh look! It's a lizard! I spent the next 10 minutes running down this poor little Skink and catching it. It was missing a third of it's tail and had some battle scars on one shoulder. Every year this little guy finds a way into the house and I have to run Stumpy down and returning him to the outdoors. Last year his tail was only about an inch long.

At least his tail is growing back nicely. Hope he's around next year. I'm growing fond of the little guy.

I don't think it's the doctors that have gotten greedy, but insurance companies and big pharma are pushing prices sky high. We won't mention the cost of equipment, procedures, etc
True
And for Pete's sake, why does everything have to be so 'specialized'?
I had a different motorcycle wreck and went to pay on my way out the door. They said they couldn't finish adding up the bill. The radiologist hasn't looked at the x-rays, he comes in every 2 weeks and was on vacation on the next round then had to skip to catch up at the other hospital after vacation so in about 4-5 weeks he can look at them.
I said the Dr. and I already did, and I trust him if nothing is broken today it won't be in 5 weeks. Give me the bill and throw away the x-rays. Not $15,000 and I got sowed up.
I spent the next 10 minutes running down this poor little Skink and catching it.
Ohh to be a fly on the wall to watch that.

Hi Guys. Just set down for the first time today after spending the day outside doing power planting before the rain moved in. ALMOST got it done. Didn't move fast enough I guess.

Anyhoo. Saw this on Imgur and laughed my head off. It's priceless.

That's great!

Good morning OF's. May you have a most beloved day. I don't eat much dandelion, yet I leave it and the henbit in the garden. When it's time to make a salad it's there and works as an automatic ground cover as well.
I feed them to the goats, chickens and rabbits.
