I bet you buy one and keep him, especially if he is a nice buck. Although I have to admit that you are better at getting rid of extra birds than I have ever been. They cross our gate they all tend to stay, lol.The goats are great. Hubby couldn't get them to go in the goat house when I was going to be gone overnight for the big swap.
Two of the girls are still quite small, I don't have a buck so when it's time I will rent one or buy it and then sell it .
That can kill a person!Dogs are not the only things that eat things they shouldn't. When my middle daughter was about 4, she kept complaining about a tummy ache. A few days of that, and I took her to the doctor. They did an X-ray. There was a + in her stomach. I mentioned that it was too small to be my cross necklace, and I was pretty sure the child was not holy, so what was the cross in her tummy. It was a very small hearing aid battery. Her sisters dared her to swallow it, so she did.
My silver grey Dorkings have five toes. Any chance of one in their background?I has a question.. one of my 4 week old EE babies has by the looks of it, 5 ,yes 5 toes on one foot. I can't imagine where that came from.. neither one of my EE hens (Brahma's by the looks of it) have them. Go figure.
BTW.. Snowflake has passed 14 days on the nest.. She's coming down the home stretch! Can't wait to see little peeps poking out from under her.
Oh good grief. There's a 5 toed ancestor in that old genetic makeup somewhere, @CSolis! Some rooster jumped the fence somewhere.
Just got off the phone with the vet. They are pretty certain that my suspicions are right on and she has Varn's dog tag sitting on her pyloric sphincter. Complete with S hook.
She is doing well but it looks like she may be heading for Columbia and the Veterinary Hospital at MIZZOU after all. They want to get her stabilized, and said while they could do surgery on her, sometimes they can just scope the dog and since the foreign object is still in her stomach, just snare it and drag it out. It would be easier on her given what she has been through already. We agree but we will know more in the morning after the head doctor makes rounds.
Thanks everyone for rooting for our Sid. Prayers do help.
