go USA bobsled!!!

I have a red heeler. She is a herding dog as well. She HAS to have a job. Catahoula's are very smart, it wont take long at all for him to pick up anything new. You just have to be consistent. If you give in one time they remember that and you are back at square one.

My Zeta is our cat chaser. We have a feral cat problem where I live and her job is to keep all cats except our two run away from the yard. It took a couple of weeks but we taught her it is not ok to chase Socks and Shoes. (yes, that's there names

) She will sit at the window looking in the back yard and signal me to go out, she'll run out try to attack said bad kitties around the coop and then come in a get a cookie. our cat problem has decreased significantly.

I think with a little time and effort you'll have a great dog for many years to come.

I need some chicken feed expert advice please! I went to a new feed mill and co-op today and was checking out their feed and prices and the man gave me this website for the company he buys his feed from.
Please tell me if you think this would be a good feed for my birds as there is no meat products just vegetables.

FEEDING DIRECTIONS:
5-Star F-R-M ABF All Vegetable Chick Starter Crumbles is a complete and balanced diet for starting chickens from egg-laying breeds. Begin feeding as the only source of feed after hatch to 6 weeks of age, then switch to 5-Star F-R-M ABF All Vegetable Pullet Grower. Always provide plenty of fresh, clean water.
*Note No antibiotics have been added independently to this feed. There may be a detectable residual level in DDGS, which is contained in this feed.
**No meat byproducts have been added to this feed.

This co-op does not have any other customers that buy chicken feed so he would have to buy 5 tons of it to get it delivered to him. Which means I would have to buy and use it all, not all at once but all!
So I really need some help here please!

It sounds like a good feed for all of your chickens. We have feed like that here called Freedom GMO Free. It is 20% Protein and it works well for growth of Cockerels too.

The percentage of protein is not as important as them getting animal protein. If they are out eating bugs they will be fine on this feed. If not, then adding Manna Pro is a cheap way to get them some animal protein.

Free choice calcium for the girls of course.

I think this feed is boasting non animal protein. It takes blending multiple grains to be able to meet omnivores needs with a vegetarian diet

it would be nice to see all amino acids

I agree, along with the ingredient label.

Personally, I like feeds without Soy.

I could add fish meal in the feed to boost the protein and give them animal protein. Would that be ok? DH works at a Catfish mill he makes catfish feed so I can get the grains and meat products.

The protein is high enough - just t0 be sure they were getting amino acids that they cannot convert, adding 5lb per 100 of fish meal would be enough

If the mill has a lower protein product and you have access to fish meal, you would be better off - still with just a 5% add of fish meal to a 15% protein feed will boost to 17.5% and will increase lysine by 20%
