The Old Folks Home

Just thinking about that, guess getting old. Hospital is still there, been just a walk in clinic for yrs. I was born there, all my siblings and DW and hers, our oldest two out of five born there, now just just for colds or maybe simple stitches.
45min drive to nearest hospital now...

My FIL always said he didn't understand why they don't bury more. With every snow storm here taking down lines.
I watched/waited for them one day for prob hr or so didn't look like fun trying to untangle electric lines out of trees and get them back up. Was out deer season on our thousands of acres of state land, travelled ten miles of bumper deep snow fight. Was almost to where they plow when I ran into them just before last house on rd. I wasn't turning around at that point.
Pretty funny this morn I screen shot this, I screen shoot anything I find interesting have more stuff like this on my phone than anything Lol. Electric poles are over hundred yr old technology
I guess it was figured that this guy had the right of way on the road. There's no way he could see except straight ahead.

Morning OF.
Sitting here reading with my first cuppa reading and playing with Baby Jay. He's got a thing for kleenex. Wants a piece of the one I'm using. Takes it and tries to stuff it back in my hand. He's a busy little guy. Making short flights again. There's always something to investigate.
Didn't get the expected rain yesterday as it slid right on by. That's fine by me since we've already had over 5 inches this month. Makes mowing that much harder to keep up with.

they told me that they had heard that the company closed it to get money to open medical marijuana stores.
Lovely.

We never thought elm would burn well but a friend gave us a load of it that he wanted to get rid of and it did burn better than we expected.
Elm burns well but is a b1tch to split. Not only stringy but spiral stringy. The best way to split it is to take pieces off the edge rather than trying to split down the middle.

make me think the guy's lucky not to be in jail.
At the moment

When we used "conscious sedation " years ago, some doctors were in a hurry and it could be brutal.
Yep. Been there, done that.

That's why they had the guy on top of the log pile, he could yell directions to the driver ;)

I'm still wearing masks but somehow caught a virus-mostly sneezing, burning eyes and constant dripping nose. I'm wearing a tissue inside my mask. Dh didn't fare so well- has the added complications of kidney stones and infection besides the virus. Had a temp of 102°, chills & all else that sounded like covid. He summed it up with,"please shoot me".
Hospital food isn't as good as my "home grown eggs"!

He's in the hospital but I'm not. I was checking where to get tested for covid-19, but he became an emergency before I was able to get it accomplished. I assume I have the same virus he does, I didn't get tested then. This 90° weather made him dehydrated. Pain from dehydration can get pretty intense.
