The Old Folks Home

I hope the dogs are properly regretful!

I got caught between 2 dogs once (in our garage!) still have a couple of puncture scars and that was over 50 years ago.
I doubt it. They ARE cattle dogs after all. CHOMP is in their job description.

They seldom have differences of opinion any longer. The last ones they had we learned to just get out of their way and let them thrash it out between them. Things developed and exploded so fast my hand was just in the way. By the time I caught the body language, my arm was streaming and my wrist was punctured in two place. One deep. Could have used a stitch but steri strips just as good and allows the wound to drain.

i had an experience like that when i was a city dweller and lived next door to the neighbor from hell.

he was always stirring up trouble and arguing property lines with me until I had my land surveyed. Yep, expensive. over a thousand dollars 20 years ago.

surveyor came to the house just laughing his head off telling me i had ruined that guys day. seems like ten foot of his garage, gas meter, drive way fence and yard were on my property.

this guy was such an a** that I relished telling him he had two choices. by the property from me or start ripping stuff down. plus pay the surveyor charges and closing fees.

came out almost 3000 dollars richer and relished making the idiot pay for it.

he stayed the neighbor from hell unfortunately until I moved to be with dh

sorry about the typos and lower case. last night i was petting varn and for some reason diesel took offense to it and didn't want varn near me. They have been getting along beautifully as of late so I told diesel no and in an instant they grumbled and game on with my right arm between them. came out with two very large skin tears and worse of all two puncture wounds on my wrist from varn. they weren't aiming for me but one another and i was just collateral damage. my right hand is almost useless today though so i am taking it easy. close as i can figure, one got one side of my arm and the other got what was left.

one of those times having prescription pain med and antibiotics on hand is blessing.
So sorry to hear this! Hope you will heal up without complications.

Thanks Cap. My hand feels better tonight. Still swollen and sore but that is to be expected.

Having animals in your life is like having babies. Sooner or later you are going to get dumped on by them. But you clean them up, clean you up, give em a hug tell em you love them and carry on.

Geez Micro, good thing you kept them and I didn't get any. I thought dear, sweet Varn would be a great candidate. Oh well - maybe I was destined to only have Cockers in my life. They never bit me or even came close. My last 3 Cockers made it to 14. Haven't had any dogs since then - they just don't live long enough and humans live too long (well some of them anyway)
