Geez Micro, good thing you kept them and I didn't get any. I thought dear, sweet Varn would be a great candidate. Oh well - maybe I was destined to only have Cockers in my life. They never bit me or even came close. My last 3 Cockers made it to 14. Haven't had any dogs since then - they just don't live long enough and humans live too long (well some of them anyway)
Oh, they are different dogs, that's for certain. They have never set out to attack us. Usually we are just collateral damage when we try to break up a disagreement between dogs. And like I said, as they mature, those outbreaks between one another are coming further and further apart.

Varn is a doll. He is also a very strong willed dog. It's his way or the highway and we are teaching him that it's OUR way or else. Since we lost Sid he's come out of his shell and is playing and interacting more with both us and the other dogs. He loves to sit on our lap and get 'scritches' to his back and sides. He also joins in games of 'catch the ball' with Ben and Rocki. The only one he doesn't get along with is Diesel who is another strong willed and very intelligent dog.

While Varn is friends with Ben and Rocki, he and Diesel avoid one another while Diesel will only 'hang out' with Ben.

They are worse than teen aged girls.

We made the mistake of thinking they were all going to be natured like our first cattle dog Dingo who loved everyone and everything. He was an exceptional dog and since doing research on cattle dogs, I've learned a lot about their unique personalities and intelligence.

One of the vets who worked with us during Sidney's illness said that they were 'different' when it comes to their personalities. Boy was she right.

Morning all. Hand is swollen this morning but less painful. I'm glad I don't have to drive anywhere or go anywhere.

MIT announces “major advance” in NUCLEAR FUSION power (Report)

A team of MIT scientists claim they have cleared the greatest technological hurdle between man and practical nuclear fusion power – which many experts believe will someday provide the world with near-limitless power. (Futurism)

MIT researchers on Sep. 5 managed to ramp up a large high-temperature superconducting electromagnet to the strength of 20 tesla (unit used to measure magnet strength) – the most powerful magnetic field of its kind ever created on Earth.

The MIT team class fusion as “the ultimate clean energy source” - could their "watershed" advance potentially pave the way for the long-sought creation of practical, inexpensive, carbon-free power plants?
