The Old Folks Home

@microchick how's the diet going? Can you eat potatoes? Some of the stores and markets around here have small red potatoes, they are always in the store packaging so I assume they get them in bulk. They are different from any red potatoes I ever had. Real creamy and the texture smooth like jello. They are so good, I can boil them in their skin, peel as I eat them like a popsicle. It's hard to find food that works while working at the mall. They are good without salt, pepper or butter.
Actually the diet is doing very well. I ate chili for dinner last night and it went down really smooth and no side effects at all.

My system is still off. My chocolate ice cream that I love is now making me queasy. But skim milk I can drink by the gallons. I suspect that there is an additive in the ice cream that my body doesn't like. I'm going to try vanilla tonight and see if that is the same way. And veggies that I usually love are low on my go to list now. But fruit I can't get enough of.

I'm still eating a lot of chicken though. Potatoes are good except I have to be careful how I eat them. I'm strictly staying away from fried stuff.

So I have come a long way in a month but so far nothing has really upset my intestines...my stomach yes but my intestines. So I'm at a loss as to what is going on with me to set off the severe gastritis and colitis.

Hoepfully I will know when they do the tests next month. I got the Gatorade last week and just ordered more Miralax. I've discovered that mixed with pineapple juice it isn't too bad!

yep it does, i'm 67 and still get called a babe or youngin :)
You must go to places with an older crowd than I do, I get a lot of "sirs" and I'm 2 years younger than you. I don't know how silver your hair is but I'm about 50-50 now so clearly I'm not looking young ;)

Have you tried goat milk? I hear it is easier for people than is cow milk.

I'm so glad it's going well and am very curious as what you will eventually find out. I'm glad you can drink skim milk. I get the calprotectin test done this coming week to check the inflammation levels.Hopefully it's the same or better then last time. The veggies I eat are potatoes, zucchini, young green beans, carrots and occasionally sweet potatoes.(no butter or grease off any kind) With a VERY careful diet the cramps and diarhea have mostly subsided. I tried turmeric/ ginger tea and I think it's been helping. But it has black pepper in it so I drink it very weak. Occasional weak chai tea gives me a taste of 'pumpkin pie'. I've tried different combinations of ginger but mostly stick with decaf green tea. Water still gives cramps unless I drink it very warm. Even room temp. Doesn't work. Hard boiled eggs for snack are good but chickens are on strike. I think of you many times when I'm eating!
