The Old Folks Home

I feel like I've escaped. We're finished for now, with all the school stuff. Yes, there are a few last details that need to be tended to, but we can get them done easily during the holidays, and when school starts again, everything will finally be all caught up.

I think we've done good, considering the school system delayed them getting in by over 2 weeks, then there were lots of computer glitches, which set things back too. Their mother started them off, but then I took over. I had to learn the program, and it's NOT an easy one to master, so that caused a bit of delay too. Not to mention that the laptop the youngest was using, had a screen failure a few days ago. We plugged in a spare monitor to limp her through. She will get a new computer during the holidays. All the major things seem to be sorted now, so I should be able to pick up after the holidays, and keep our stride going.

The laptops all want to update to Windows 11. I pray that doesn't throw a monkey wrench into things. It shouldn't.

If you are lucky she dropped a few right next to the trails in the woods.
We haven't hit the woods yet. The wind finally settled and we hunted down the pieces of our damaged antenna but the temp finally slapped us in the face with reality. Like, HEY! STUPID! It's December, remember? The high today was only 38 so we are waiting for another warm up before we traipse out to the timber.

From your lips to God's ears, Bruce. But you know they never fall where it is convenient.

Today I did catch up house work. Fun Fun. Feeling much better although I'm having a hard time getting used to taking medicine 4 times a day. Maybe if it didn't taste like chalk I'd be better at remembering it, LOL.
