Slow but steady gets the job done. Coffee is starting to kick in.Morning @sourland and @silverhair67 . How you two fellas getting on this morning?
LOL, I live 10 miles out of town, on a paved county road... and we seldom have snow. Now snakes are another issue!Same here. It's a private road for 1/4 mile. We're at the very end too. There are 5 houses back here, and the only school age kids are homeschooled, so no buses have to come back here. We are VERY low on the list for getting plowed out.
The house next door used to belong to a couple from Detroit. They had NO IDEA about living back here. It was their "weekend getaway spot."
"Who plows you out?" he asked.
"Well, we all sort of do it. DH is usually out with the snow blower."
"You could get someone to come back here to do it."
"For about $70-80 a trip? Uh, no."
They went home to Detroit one time and forgot to shut a door. They burned up their entire tank of propane, the house froze, and pipes broke. He laughed about it.
They lost the house to foreclosure in the 2008 crash.
