Doctor once asked me as an adult when I had my tonsils out. I told him never, I still had them. Nope, he told me, they atrophied on you and are now non existent. Happens in some adults he explained.

Finally, my body did something right. That and being naturally immune to small pox. Everything else is pretty much in the hopper but hey, I'll take what I can get.

Today has beent he first day that feels like Fall here. We have red flag warnings, Wind gusts to 40+MPH, leaves are being ripped from the trees instead of gently floating to the ground. Plus it's in the 50s for highs and 30s for lows.

Got some finishing up as far as winterizing the coop is concerned but for the most part it's snug. 15+ cords of wood in the barn. Yep, Winter....bring it on!

I wish i were ready for winter, but low energy has me behind on everything.

Send him here so I can him a few times. Even a stubborn person doesn't have to do stupid things that harm them. Does he care that the lack of O2 isn't doing him any favors?

I planted and mulched the garlic today. For some reason, I'm feeling that in my back and elbows.

The reason is probably because I'm a year older than the last time I did this.

Anybody every plant surprise lilies or resurrection lilies as some call them?

I bought four at the Amish store today (never know what you can find there) and found a sunny spot to plant them. We are in zone 5b so I tossed some straw on top of them just in case given they aren't established.

On line said to plant them four inches deep which I did. Is it necessary to straw them down or am I being overly cautious with them?

Our last few winters have been shall we say extreme over January and February. Lots of cold and snow.

Well Bruce people just aren’t rational at times. He’s had so many surgeries and procedures that now he just wants to do what he wants.
