The Old Folks Home

This has been going on for HOW long???
Send him here so I can :smack him a few times. Even a stubborn person doesn't have to do stupid things that harm them. Does he care that the lack of O2 isn't doing him any favors?

Especially if one is having caffeine withdrawal from stopping a heavy coffee habit.
Oh it’s been going on for 48 years. We just had our 48th anniversary Oct. 8.

Anybody every plant surprise lilies or resurrection lilies as some call them?

I bought four at the Amish store today (never know what you can find there) and found a sunny spot to plant them. We are in zone 5b so I tossed some straw on top of them just in case given they aren't established.

On line said to plant them four inches deep which I did. Is it necessary to straw them down or am I being overly cautious with them?

Our last few winters have been shall we say extreme over January and February. Lots of cold and snow.
From my experience, you can’t kill them…pieces of the bulbs tossed in the compost sprout. Foliage looks a lot like daffodils and shows up about the same time. Foliage disappears and the blooms show up, Resurrection Lilies, in August…without any leaves…also called Naked Ladies.
