I'm remembering looking at the smallest Ford pickup in '64. Not the F100 but like what ever was the Ranger model then. $1800 out the door.

Like I said

I was only 8 in '64, certainly not looking at the price of vehicles
When I was in college people would buy small pickups because they were cheaper than cars. No more. They aren't "work vehicles" any more, they have all the bells and whistles of cars. Expensive grocery getters with poor mileage

Good night old folks. I took a 170ish mile round trip today and it was worse that what 700 miles was just a couple of years ago. I think the back side of that Bell Curve is getting steeper by the day.
