The Old Folks Home

Got the test results back from the biopsy. It's not a new cancer, just more of where my breast cancer has metastasized. Not really good news, but not the worst possible either.
That’s good and I’m so sorry! I guess at least you know what you’re dealing with huh? :hugs I hope I’m not saying all the wrong things, I just want to make sure you’re heard and supported even if I risk sounding like a jerk doing it!

Good morning to the Old Folks Sanctuary. I'm feeling a super sized nap coming on. How about you?
You’re a few time zones ahead of me but I’ll be ready in a few hours! Although it’s cool so far this morning so that makes it easier to keep going!

I know so little about this kind of situation, I can only wish you the very best and keep you in my prayers.

I started college in 1964... :th
Hmmm, that might make you the person with the most life experience in the old folks home. You can impart wisdom to the younger folks :D

Dh did some checking, and after a bit of digging, it's a known problem. They sell a part for $150.00 to fix the problem. I have no idea why the fix wasn't free, since it's a known problem, and FIRE HAZARD, or why we weren't contacted, or sent a notice, or something. What part of FIRE HAZARD didn't sink in to the manufacturer? It's not like it didn't have the potential of burning up someone's kitchen, house, etc.
Yikes! Yes, a KNOWN fire hazard should have not only a free repair but a recall.

pert, Dh said the same thing, that the breaker should have tripped, BUT it didn't.
Not sure why it should trip. The microwave was running with nothing inside, not shorting out. I think I would also have replaced it with a different brand even though the fix would have been cheaper. I don't think I would ever trust it.

Sorry about the so-so cancer diagnosis. :hugs

Annual physical was this morning, with fasting blood work. I'm due for a colonoscopy, and the Doc said I could do the "poop in a box." Ie, Cologuard. Yippee. I've done the "cleanout the day before" kind, and this sounds much better.

I think the worst part of the physical is the fasting. One cup of black coffee, on an empty stomach is not a good combination for me.

It's done for another year. Just waiting to see the numbers on the blood work.

@getaclue, I have nothing to complain about. :smack<-- doing this to myself.

:hugs :hugs Some hugs for you.
