Oh Cap, she's your best yet! How tall is she?

Last year when we had the -12 temps I broke down and hung a heat lamp for the bantams. They were all huddled in a puddle of misery. I too caged the silly thing in on top of it having a basket covering the light. On top of that I did belts and suspenders with it. So if it did somehow come loose it wouldn't hit the floor nor would it hit the ground. It would just dangle and not hurt anything. Plus I only ran it during the day. One light brought the temp up in the coop enough that it made it warm enough for the birds to be at least comfortable.

But between you and me and the nearest fence post those things give me the peedoodles.
