Ash trees should be harvested before they die for good furniture wood and an excellent cabinet wood.

Probably not many ash trees left with the ash borer infestation.

I wish they would preserve seed and an acreage of trees that could be treated for the borer giving scientist time to create a GMO tree like they have done with others that the borer would not bother. I know they must know how to do it and for a good cause. Ash trees are a renewable resource. At least they used to be.

Yeah, we already have pine bark beetles killing off the pine trees!
