I have had many traumatic experiences with various dentists. If I never had to go again, I would celebrate!

That’s awful! There are several around here that advertise for people who are fearful.

I just got back from Moffitt Urgent Care. I began breaking out, in hives, which is a side effect of the chemo, and something that is to be checked immediately. Well, surprise-surprise, it's NOT hives. Lucky me, I've got shingles. The lowered immunity from the chemo, sometimes allows the shingles virus to rear it's ugly head.

I understand that's quite painful. Sorry you have to endure that too!

The worst ones were when I was young. A dentist decided to do it himself taking out an impacted wisdom tooth from my jaw. He pounded on my jaw for over an hour. My mouth was swollen nearly shut for a week.
There are even worse experiences than that I suffered through.

I think it is a one time thing. Very expensive if you have no insurance.

I read an article once that said most seniors close to death get shingles.

I think some one was just trying to make a name for themselves. I've had singles twice and am trucking on. I may work myself to death yet but I will not die from shingles.
