We just received the greatest news of our lives:

The petitions for adoption for both our kids are finalized.

We are now officially parents.

Its still a 6-9 month journey to get them to the USA but its really happening

I guess they finally got and read my note asking them what the heck was their problem, taking so long?

Anyway, congrats. It's a long time coming and it's so good to have it official.


Also congrats to Ms Canoe. That's a huge feat!

This is minor news compared to Oz and wife's long fought and earned great results.

I didn't know what ovations were but they're the little thumbs up button in the lower right of each post.

I got a PM from Nifty-Chicken saying "Congrats On Your BYC Ovations! You're one of the top 0.1%!!"

He added, "Well, out of literally hundreds of thousands of members, your name was in the top 0.1% (yes, that’s 1/10 of one percent) with the most ovations received! GREAT JOB!!! It’s fantastic to see other members helping to recognize the contributions you’ve made to our wonderful community."

Pretty cool.

i got a similiar email. its nice to know they look at stats

i try and use the ovation button but need to remind myself

I can't tell you how happy I am for all of you. I know there will be a huge celebration for this occasion. Tell us the process over the next 6-9 months, if you don't mind, please?

I used to be able to see the number of ovations in the persons user profile. They took that out so I only know mine. I stopped paying as much attention to it when it hit 1000.

I am quite happy knowing that: ronott1 is a thought leader in the community
