The Old Folks Home

I am so happy to say, that Lisa is coming around. Still a long road ahead. She can't talk yet, but hopefully soon.

I am so happy to come on and give a miracle piece of news. She is awake! And, she is our Lisa. Doesn't look like any brain damage. The only thing to worry about now is phenomena. She has had serious cases of it in the past.
Last night, the dr. was not able to make any promises. He gave us different ways she would or could wake up. If she woke up. She did! When I called first thing this morning to see how she was, the nurse says, I think she is doing better. She gives me thumbs up and when I ask her questions, she nods yes or no. Then the all of the tubes came out. She can talk, barely. Just a whisper, but it's our Lisa. :) No doubt she is fine that way. I am moving her from this place to another in Provo. Have already talked with them, they have a room for her. Whew..so glad, she is not going back there where she's been. How can they not keep an eye out on just 4or 5..is what they said, people in the water. Two were there to watch. They took them to Sandy Beach in Lake Shore! That is one dirty lake. What? Of course there will be an investigation. The state will checking this out really well. I could go on with some other things that I haven't been real happy about with this place, but this was the last big straw! She is sore, from the CPR..to be expected. And coughing, to be expected, but is a good thing..they started anti-biotics last night right away.
Thank you so much for the prayers. I know they helped, and I also believe in the power of the restored Priesthood. Scott had given her a promising blessing before they took her upstairs, she hadn't made a move on her own until after that blessing, just as they started to stroll her out..then the dr. stopped them and yelled at her to open her eyes. She didn't, but she was moving her arms and legs. Still had the waiting game, but thank goodness, not for long. :)
That is great news!

I was very worried because I read an article about CPR yesterday and the chances of surviving after it.

Your Sister is in a group that has a better outcome so Cheers!

So glad, Cyn.

Will the move be hard on her?

Oh Cynthia, Miracle is right!!!!! Hope she continues to recover. I'm glad you made the decision to move her. Jerks. Always justifying why they are right. Give them what for. Speaking of what for, I've got a funny for you. My daughter owns a dog grooming shop in front of our house. Her washing machine wore totally out so she bit the bullet and went to Home Depot and bought an Admiral. Good enough brand. They deliver it and first time she uses it, it is apparent that it's broken. She calls and tells them about it and the young girl from Home Depot said "Oh, since you are a business you don't have a one year warrenty." Aimee has always been a little laid back and not wanting to argue but steam was coming out of her ears by this time. She said, "I realize that this is not your fault so I'll hold while you go get someone in charge to fix this Before I Unleash the Six Shades of He//. By then she was almost hollaring. She could hear the girl explaining to the manager and he wouldn't even come to the phone. He just said. " Tell her we'll call to schedule a pick up and delivery of the new one." Hysterical.

I ask her what the six shades of he// consisted of and she said Plan B is Angie's List, Facebook (and they have hundreds of followers) newspaper, calling BBB, new agencies. Television. I said ok. Remind me not to get you mad.

Quote: Oh my geez Lacey, thanks so much for the laugh I laughed so hard I had to read it to my DH! He can relate because she gave him what for when he tried to help tuck the eggs back up under her. This is her first time being broody and she has done a great job! Thank goodness she is not like your Ninja!
