The Old Folks Home

That is scary!

I have a date for a cardio workup early next month. At my last physical my EKG was a little schizzy and my new doc suggested that maybe I had had a heart attack in the past. WHAT?? News to me! Especially considering I had just spent the last year packing up and moving three houses and rehabbing another one. Scary to think I had an episode and didn't even know it. What's next, a stroke where I just wake up feeling kind of stupid that day? (LOL there...that's most mornings for me until I'm caffeinated.) My sister's jaw dropped when I told her, "But you're strong as an ox!" I'm hoping that maybe a recent lightning strike on the medical building fritzed the machine as I certainly do not want to undergo a procedure. This household cannot fathom two depressed people and, frankly, I like my sunny disposition. I worked long and hard to get to a happy place. Now I'm getting p.o.'ed just thinking about it.....

I can never remember the differences, but apparently when woman has a heart attack, the symptoms are far different than those experienced by men.

Also, if you only went in for a check up, not because you were having problems, I'd say don't worry about it. But then I'm sort of an anti-MD type personality. I don't like or trust them... that is all an other story but if you feel fine... well, that's just my opinion.

Lol, that is the truth! Before my Dad passed, he would occasionally roll off the bed and couldn't get off the floor without help. He would sometimes sit on the edge of the bed and slip to the floor. We lowered the bed some, so he wouldn't fall or slip as far.

I'd like to hear your experience but my oldest sister and I, along with my father turned his basement into a worm farm. It was a great experience. Learned a lot about the needs of worms.
